Block paving

Block paving that stays flat and drains properly

Most paving problems start below the surface: a thin sub-base, missing edge restraints or a fall running back towards the house. We build up in compacted layers, set the falls first and lay to a string line throughout.

What we can do

Block paved driveways

Standard and permeable block paving with proper edge courses, kiln-dried sand and a compacted build-up.

Patios and seating areas

Block, sandstone or porcelain patios laid to a fall away from the property, with neat consistent joints.

Paths and access routes

Side paths, bin runs and level-access routes, including thresholds and channel drains where needed.

Edging, steps and kerbs

Kerb lines, sleeper retaining walls, brick edging and steps to tie levels together safely.

Our Process

  1. 01Excavate to depth and remove spoil from site
  2. 02Lay and compact a Type 1 MOT sub-base in layers
  3. 03Set falls away from the building and fit edge restraints
  4. 04Screed the laying course and lay blocks or slabs to a line
  5. 05Compact, joint with kiln-dried sand, wash down and tidy up
